"But she didn’t," here the giant pulled open his shirt, showing a jagged scar which looked like nothing so much as a lightning shaped birthmark. It was easily 8 inches in width and two in height, covering the center of his chest.

I stared, incredulous.

"She threw a lightning bolt, hit you in the chest, and it didn’t kill you?" I burst out.

He shook his head. "It would take…. considerably more than that, but she drew so much power from the lake, which is where she was standing when she told me, that she was frozen in it like a ship frozen in an icy sea."
